I just have a ring clamp around the wall plate socket and a feed wire to a dedicated clear 3 pin plug.

that seems to work fine, as I don't get a reading with the Fluke now.

Mmmmmm a dedicated 3 pin socket hey.... So you are bonding the screen of the RG6 coax cable to earth contuctor of the power cable at the local power point, thus to the M.E.N. system.

Yet the receiver is a double insulated appliance using a switch mode power supply, whoms chassis are known to raise above earth potential.

I guess this principle all works well, so long as you always disconnect and/or reconnect the Antenna lead when the power is off and unplugged.

Nice one z80. Pity none of my LNB antenna leads ever go through a wall socket, Doh!

Then just connect it directly to the lnb connector on the back of the box

That’s a nice lead fandtm666, one would wonder why dream don't use a 3 core power lead with an earth and the appropriate female socket in the receiver if this earthing is so important??

They go to so much trouble to show you ways to remotely earth it, which just looks messy and so “backyard”.... why didn't they just do it correctly in the first place!!

I thought Germany was a country that prides itself on engineering?

Ah so clown like us stuff them up and have to buy more, or spend big bucks on spare parts, sound like good business sence to me.

Any buyer was compensated in the bundle. The free alkaline batteries were more than the cord was worth, so the factory gave us those.

When i was the first to get the 500s clones I had the same situation from the factory.

    Everyone knew it.

Next time get your mate to ask.

Apparently these drives are excellent for these units.

Haven't tried but very good reports by experienced users.

Found some on my desk here is a pic, they are only 0.55 amperes at 5v

That's real low for a 250 gig drive in total ... about 6 watts.

installed one as my ftp, can't hear the thing at all, and it has vibration protection and all that stuff..

    $148 was the price.

    Default Dropbear and WinSCP

Anyone know how to get WinSCP talking to Dropbear SSH?
Have tried 2 different PC's running WinSCP and Dropbear keeps asking for a password for that session?
Tried the root/dreambox but no go. Any ideas?
