The information given on this Site by professionals in their trade, is priceless,

Because, in the Workshops around town, they are only paid to fix a Problem,

& the faster a Technician can do it, the more money they make for the Company, & the more money they themselves are worth,

So the Company will say, The Company is paid to fix it, not to teach You,

How lucky we are these people share their tips & tricks & expertise with us, & they themselves make a hobby out of it & do it for Fun,

Thanks to All who contribute to this Forum,

    Cheers

    well done,

The forum has always been a great source of information to a lot of people due to the quoted facts.

Now the question is (A) how much monetary value can we put on this?
    (B) will there be a standard fee to be paid in the Future?

As a professional in my field that contributes to this forum, may i suggest that we all contribute towards the Band Width, Including Myself

I'd guess the value would have been at its peak when the sat section was very busy, around the time just before the server crash or whatever it was, who it's (or any site really) actually of value to though is very subjective

It was at its peak in the gold card days onwards to the later sellers cards.

Most stopped after there were no more gimmies for free TV.

I recon its still a good site though, otherwise i wouldn't still be here.

    It's like anything else.
It's only worth what a genuine buyer after due diligence is prepared to pay.
In hindsight I should have posted my Facebook status as: "I've blown the head gasket on my 1997 XR3i" rather than "I've just buggered a 14 year old escort".
The police still haven't seen the funny side, my lap top's been confiscated and the wife has gone off to her mum's.

Who wants it sold?????? Forums, like yoyos, have their moments when they are so popular everyone is there, then it wears off for a while, and then it's popular again. Yoyos are becoming less and less popular as technologies have changed, and different fora will also become less so unless they change to the "new wave" if they can work out what it is. Meantime we've all got a job to do to keep Austech both relevant and popular. If we do not contribute, we will die a slow and natural death.

While I ponder why this thread has been dredged up from 2009?

I find myself thinking that a more important measure of what this forum is worth; would be what is it worth to those people who come here for help & have their problems solved free of charge, with the only pressure being to be accurate in their question.

I then wonder what the success rate of this forum is in solving peoples problems?
Now that would be an interesting statistic.
    Cheers, Tiny

I was bored since not much is happening while people are on holidays so was just going through some old posts.

I didn't think austech had dental technician sub forum for fixing dentures

With all the 'my 2 cents worth' of comments over the years it must be worth at least $2.

Ohhh Christ, I've used that line once or twice too often myself
