Pretty outdated, seems to be an older model.

The DVR only records at 50fps globally @ 4CIF, which when divided over 16 cameras only gives you a recording rate of 3.125fps each camera. You can increase the frames per second but you will have to sacrifice resolution.

If you set the DVR to CIF which is a smaller resolution then you can get 200fps globally, which is 12.5fps per camera.

I wouldn't use this DVR unless it was dedicated to 1 camera at which you can get 50fps @ 4CIF or VGA resolution.

Its time to move away from DVR's unless it is price driven.

Look at an IP solution. There are some lower cost products around

My IndigoVision product is not a price pointed example so is not going to be price competitive compared to a DVR.
However there are plenty of products in the consumer line from brands like Panasonic.

    I can supply 4 IndigoVision IP dome cameras, with 1month storage @ either 25ips CIF, 12.5ips 2CIF or 8.3ips 4CIF and 25ips 4CIF live for around $7000
