anyone else watching Stargate Universe?
i love my spaceship shows but damn this ones really friggin boring
they have tried to take over the Battlestar Galactica mantle but its just not happening.
of course ill keep watching because its space haha.
anyone got any thoughts on the show?
i call it Stargate Yawniverse.

yep i have to agree on this one, when i first heard about this show i said sweet as i love my scifi and i was looking forward to this show. but shit it turned out to be very boring as you said its more about the people on the ship and there boring life then what is going on with the ship and what its suppose to be doing. this could have been a very top scifi show but i think the writers have let it down.

i think they had a vision but its probably not turning out the way they intended and forgot sci fi is all about action not drama.
i could be a really good show if they have a rethink and it dosnt get shitcanned after one season.

started out alright but the writers sem to be lost!! damn I had high hopes for this show

i admit i am still in love with the first episode intro of the ship.

ship breaks hyperspace.
zooms toward camera getting larger and larger.
big distorted guitar strum nice n loud and wham, SGU!

gone downhill ever since.

yep the ship is the best bit so far.... and I mean the shots of the outside of it.

Robert Carlyle's character is pretty interesting also, hes about the only one im interested in, hes up to something.
as for the rest, how many episodes so far and i couldnt give a toss if they all got swept out an airlock and left Rush on his own, cept for the hot doctor.

I have been watching the show and I am really trying to give this show a chance but it is a bit all over the place. I really like the ship as well, there is a lot of potential for a good story around it but there haven't been too many episodes that really stood out so far. The one where they went to the planet and got attacked by those small alien things was pretty good though except for the ending looked like they ran out of time. Hopefully the writers will get there act together sooner rather than later.

I'm a scifi devotee........I tried, but nope....porkop is right on the money...

Theres always a problem when I have difficulty hanging in for the whole first episode..
