have you looked under "devices and printers". click on start button and it will be on your right, you might be lucky.
The Infinity USB Unlimited worked ok in windows 98, xp, & vista.
I now have windows 7 to a new laptop, and having problems.
First to run Infinity USB you must right click and run software as administrator, otherwise device will be shown as not connected.
This is a known problem and should be fixed with an update.
BUT
When I go to Virtual Com Port (VCP) mode and start 3rd party programs like, EMK, FmCard etc. I get communiction failure, failed to open comport.
In device manager I cannot see a setting for comports?
I have looked for setting up virtual comports and installed drivers but still no luck.
Any ideas what else I can try?

Have already tried there no luck.
Cant see ports anywhere in device manager
Have you tried to install the VCP software in compatibility mode and pick vista.
I picked XP SP3
I will also try Vista.
All working now.
The upgrade to windows 7 from Vista was the problem with infinity already on the Vista setup.
Just re-installing over the top wasnt working.
A simple uninstall & re-install fixed problem.
How simple was that yet it took so long to work out.
That saves me pulling mine out of the cupboard to test....well done
He he... the most obvious thing staring in your face, could take hours to workout. Glad you found the problem it will help others.
Hi!
I would like to find out from you. For the product, Infinity USB Unlimited, does it supercede the kit I bought from Jaycar. I do understand that this item "Infinity USB Unlimited" supports many card formats. As for the Jaycar kit, I've built up the item, Full Function Smart Card Reader / Programmer Kit ( found here )
But I have got problems getting it connected/read from XP / Vista environment. Hence, I'm looking for alternative readers/programmers and would gladly appreciate if anyone can point me to the right direction (I know, it's kind of off-topic but still there's too many variants out there for me to know/distinguish.)
Thanks for reading.
Cheers!
