Default TomTom ONE XL - 512MB

I've been trying without any luck to get the Australia 840_2562 maps working on a TomTom One XL. From what I have read (please correct me if I'm wrong) I need to run some sort of hacked version of a later Navcore in order to do this.

I have tried following instructions in various posts on this forum but I have not had any luck. Is what I'm trying to do possible and if so would the newer maps work ok (i'm not worried about TTS) IQ Routes and active lane guidance would be a bonus.

Here are my device specs, any tips would be appreciated:

    P N A :TomTom ONE XL - 512MB
    DeviceName:TomTom ONE XL
    BootLoaderVersion:53026
    NavCore:8010.9369
    Current Map: Australia
    Map Version No:705.1485

Tried these ones, without any luck

For some unknown reason I can not seem to patch the current navcore, it come up the the

"You need a genuine non patched file" error using Keygen26.11

It is not my TomTom but I'm sure the person I got it off would not have modified it.

You need at least Navcore 8.2xx for ALG and IQ routes.
The 840.2561 however will work on your device.
Use Keygen3.1G (posted with the meta for the new maps) to patch your Navcore(patch system" and to activate your map (make map keys).

maybe when you were mucking around with it, you already patched the file

Thanks for the info. I have seen mixed reports on upgrading the navcore (slow downs etc..)

Is it worth trying to get ALG and IQ routes working on my device ?

Latest keygen also seems to think TomTom is patched already...maybe it is

Is there any way for me to double check ?

When I turn the TomTom on it can not find any maps but as best I can tell the make map keys worked.

id like to help u but i dont have a TT PNA device... from what i know, if tt cant detect maps, then the map may not be compatible with the app version u have..

have you deleted your old map (after backing it up) ??
is the new map in the same spot as your old one ?
did you download the correct map ? make sure u get the PNA version, not PDA ?

If you have a .meta.dct file in your map folder than it is most likely that your map is activated correctly.
You can try to patch your Navcore with Easy Activator as well.
Or better try with the original yDG patch which can be found

I'll let you's know how I go but at the moment I'm off to get myself some SD cards, I've got 3 one XL I intend to update and I have scared myself a few times trying to do the first.

Luckily it seems pretty hard to brick these suckers !!
