Hi all,
Just having trouble following the instructions.
Installing on HTC HD2 with WinMo.
One instruction will mention the sd card, then another sd card / device and another device.
I prefer to store and run ALL on hte DS Card and NONE on the phone.
Can someone post a couple of snaps of the folder structure thru Active Sync?
I can't wouk out where the map.img file is supposed to be stored in relation to the QuePPC.exe
The QuePPC.exe is in my \Storage Card\Garmin\Apps\WM
And the Garmin Mobile XT.exe is on the \Storage Card\Garmin Folder
Is everything supposed to be on the Storage Card?
Which am I supposed to be executing to find the map.img file?
Seems I have 2 Garmin Folders. 1 on the phone after installing XT.exe and anohter I created on my SD Card.

Hi Hollowman,
I've installed xt on my sim card.
There are two different Garmin folders - one on the mobile device and another on the Storage card.
In which folder do I place my map.img file? - Got it - found on your other thread. In the wording not in snap - copy to Garmin folder on Storage card

barry your response above is really really long hehe...
so i take it you got it working ?
Dude! You so freaking rock!
Man, that was getting to me.
Trying to focus and keep my place.
Never being sure if I executed the last step correctly.
With the good wife calling me to do chores before guests for Boxing Day arrived!
Got it all working before having to rush around to get the chores done.
So didn't get the time to post my success or clean up my log.
Edit the log as you see fit or completely remove.
My plan was to have somewhere to keep my place and help the next poor sole to install with clearer step by step instructions.
Gotta take a nap and sleep off this over eating before I'm called down to help clean up the after dinner dishes.
If my log is still there when I get back I'll clean it up.
You've help my make my HTC HD2 a really really nice chrissie pressie and a fantastic offline work tool.
All my very best.

Tested it last night.
Drive to Sherlock Holmes
Then out to dinner
Very very cool
Kept expecting the sexy voice from the original Battle Star Galactica
to tell me which way to go.
But no voice.
Audio | Voice is blank with no selection available.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Garmin Voices
Nope - doesn't work on the HD2 anyway.
BACKUP your original English_American_.vpm file first.
Then I believe rename the .vpm to English_American_.vpm
then copy that one over the one on you card garmin\voices
BACKUP your original English_American_.vpm file first.
BACKUP your original English_American_.vpm file first.
Anyone have the original English_American_.vpm? Was never on my phone.

Hollowman: I'm brand new to this forum and impressed with your expertise and know-how already. Very professional Sir.
I have a 4.3 GPS on its way from Hong Kong and it's loaded with Australian Maps - unlocked. My question is, with regard to all you've written, is it easier to simply purchase an SD card with Garmin 2010 maps on it and load it into the unit rather than go through the lengthy procedure outlined in your tutorial?
Thanks and Cheers

Used this map in Brisbane recently, but it doesn't have the Gateway motorway to the Gateway Bridge on it ! Igo map on my brothers GPS was much more recent. A bit disappointing for my Garmin.
Found this EXCELLENT step by step Garmin 2011 GPS Update...
they previously had 2010 and now they have 2011
