Could be the backup battery going flat (not holding charge).
You should post your question in the in security alarm section and get advice from the experts.
Hello all,
I hope that you can help me. I have a Direct Alarm Supplies DL.250 Series alarm system. We have had it for about 10 years and were very happy with it.
Unfortunately about 2 months ago it started to alarm when not activated. That is, whilst we were at home and it not armed, it would "go off" as if armed and an intruder was in the house. The last time this happened was at 2:00 a.m. in the morning whilst we were fast asleep.
I have removed the 3 fuses within the control module and am trying to find out what is wrong.
I am an electrician, but have never worked on security systems.
Can anyone help me to find out what is wrong?
Regards,
Joe

Thank you for your answer.
I have made a mistake. I should have posted this on the security alarm section and will post it there now.
Apologies if I am causing anyone problems by doing this.
Regards,
Joe
