Hi woodstock can the ping be lowered with a amp,box or something cheers wazza
ping is a network function of time. The time it takes for your data to reach the intended target and for that target to respond and that data be returned to you.
With Sat comms, you have a 75000 KM rount trip time from earth>satelite>earth. The speed of light is 300000 KM/s so straight away you have 1/4 of a sec just in travel time even before the data can be acted upon.
so....
you>sat>earth = .25sec
whatever earth bound time = x
earth>sat>you = .25sec
total RTT (rount trip time) = x + .5 sec
As woodstock said, sat times are always high!
