Just wondering if you did as stated here:

    the ini file:
-it's possible to have two ini files, one on hdd and one on a usb device, the USB ini takes
priority over the hdd one, so console behaviour can be changed by adding/removing usb device
(** it is NOT recommended to launch USB con/xex from hdd ini **)

-MUST be plain ASCII text, the first character of the file MUST be the start of a path to a xex
or con, the last character after the path must be a semicolon ; there are no spaces allowed and everything
after the semicolon will be ignored.

Bratty, maybe you can help me out with something?

I've got Final fantasy 13 here, it's 3 discs (over 20Gb). I want to install this to Xexmenu, I've stripped the .iso's with wx360, now with Mass Effect 2 I could successfully load the two discs by copying the 2nd discs data to a folder and then overwriting it with the contents of disc 1.

I'm not sure if the same method would apply and if I'd need to have Disc 3 data already in folder and overwrite it with disc 2 content and then disc 1 content.

For the purpose of not breaking any forum rules, I own this game :|

    mate im not really sure

the only game ive tried with 2 discs is forza 2

i had to copy the contents of disc 2 to hdd/content/000000000000/etc(the correct folder)

and it would all just run from the forza disk 1 iso in xexmenu

have you tried anything like that?

i think thats what i did

I've done something similar with Mass Effect 2. WX360 on the .iso's first made the disc 2 folder, then copied disc 1 contents over it and then placed the folder onto my 1TB HDD that's being used with Xexmenu and that was fine. I'm trying to get Final Famtasy 13 to boot in Xexmenu 1.1 though.

I considered going the iso to games on demand route but I like having all my retail games on the 1TB.

Yeah, there's new stock kicking around, but getting harder to find. I wouldn't buy a second hand one as you'll not know if it's been updated, or worse a refurb.

The workaround at the moment is to have a version of Xexmenu (or Freestyle) burned on a disc, and the disc permanently in the tray. Then when you press the guide button to exit, you can just choose 'play game on disc' (or whatever the option is) and it'll load your dash directly.

I expect it's just a matter of time before something is worked out though.

I get the guy in the secondhand shop to turn em on for me and have done since the xbox 1 days checking the drives.
Did buy a 360 the other day without looking at it and got caught with a Xenon with the updated dash. it was cheap and with the seal intact so took the risk and failed.

    Hey Guys,

Im having a bit of trouble getting Nandpro to work when ever i try to get the nand i get this error.

    "C:\Windows\system32>C:\Nand\nandpro lpt: -r2 c1.bin
    NandPro v2.0b by Tiros

    Testing LPT device address:0378
    Testing LPT device address:0278
    Testing LPT device address:03BC
Could not detect a flash controller!
    Can not continue"

I have a Xenon and using LPT
im currently half way through trying different LPT settings in the BIOS but still not working.
Checked the soldering and it all looks fine no wires touching eachother.

any ideas of why it isnt working

have you plugged in the power to the console?

Id save yourself the hassle, buy a usb based flasher and then use nandflasher 360 by trancy.

With the older console revisions, some people had to use resistors with a different level of impedance (or none?? dangerous?) to those commonly stated. I do not know if this error relates to this.

    Edit:

I bought a usb flasher and still have my working lpt cable not being used. You can have it if you want to pay postage?

double check wiring, then check again
    double check soldering (resolder everything)
are you using 100 ohm resistors?
    diode facing the right way?
connect xbox chassis to pc chassis
keep lpt lead short as possible
boot pc, then plug xbox power lead in
