Chimei 42" 1080P Model: DTL-742E600. Its Cheap

Just wondering if anyone has had any experience with the following LCD TV from Chimei.



I saw it when I was in Singapore a few Months ago & also. It was on the Australian Chimei site when I was checking back then. Right now though it looks at though they are updating this section of there site for Australia.

It looks pretty interesting & it was extremely cheap in Singapore.

I've looked and looked to try to get some reviews on the TV. They literally seem non existent. Does anyone know of any good Audio/Visual forums on the net that might have one?

Two things to consider, warrenty and freight costs.

There's heaps of cheap deals out there just type in LCD or Plasma, on an e-bay page, then check out the venders e-bay shops.

Or theres a bloke who brings in cut price TV from China, just type "Kogans" into google, and every night when you say your prayers . Ask God to let your new tellie work for just another day.

Just stay clear of rear projection,, I had one, nice picture, it lasted three days, then the mouse driving the generator wheel died
