    Default Viaccess 3 on I-SKYNET on Telstar 18 C-band

Has any one seen a Viaccess CI CAM that works with v3.0 Viaccess cards ?

Well I bought a so called new Viaccess CI Cam module from Sat******s. Unfortunately it doesnot even recognise the Viaccess Card. The card is a v3.0

Details of the CI Cam form the 4658X Strong Box is :-

    Viaccess 1.0 v483
    App v1.05.001
    SCM Microelectronics.

The card works well in the embedded slot of the Strong.

    Any ideas ppl ppl.

What part number is written on the back SPW?

    Mine is:
Viaccess 3.0 Cam Vr484 (Stated by Sattronics on their website)

    SCM Microsystems

P/N: 904240 Rev 1.0 (Written on the back)

It was difficult to get going in my DM7000s, kept trying to re-initialize in a repeating loop. I changed channels from free to air to encrypted, pushed and pulled the card and eventually it kicked over. It has been running flawlessly since. Also ensure the smart card contacts are up.

When it does work, it will prompt you to unlock the channel. Enter "1234" as the pin and the channels should decrypt.

In the portable CI CAM, the contacts definitely face up.

For the embedded slot of the Strong, I'll let a Strong owner answer ... I believe SPW had his Viaccess 3.0 card working in the embedded slot on his Strong, so he can probably answer ...

If you are running a T18 Adult card you need to access the cam menu and unlock, reset the parental guidance on the card.
