Hey guys, I have a Topfield 3000cipro (with a cam) under the bed and a legitimate Austar subscription, is there anything I can do to put the Toppy to use ? I must admit, I have very limited knowledge of the Sat world, but am happy to do some reading.

Not too many card splitters around, only ones I found are at Sattronics? any good?
yes, very good, the smartwi sattronics sells works ok with spongebob and the toppy as long as it has a freecam or purplecam. You may get the occassional lock up on the toppy but nothing a soft reboot wont fix. Also you will need to transfer the ATR to the client card for the austar box to recognise it. The only real issue is when two boxes are on a channel that is on the same TP, it may "glitch" and stutter.
Thanks for the replies, just dont really watch all that much T.V to fork out $200. Was just a thought, after I found the Toppy. Will keep it in mind for future if I happen to have a spare couple of hundred lying around.

You could still use to Toppy for your paid for service to get FTA services only 2 on C1 but you could plug in another cam and watch Aurora channels via another card.
Or u could sell it to me for $50

Thanx for the offers guys, but I will prob just hang onto it. It is only a small decoder, and doesnt take up that much room under the bed lol.
It can take 2 cams that means 2 cards and if all you are pointed at is C1 with the 2 card thats a whole lot of viewing as you can cover every thing C1 has to offer with just 2 cards.

He is saying that you could also have all the Optus Aurora channels on a gold card as well as running your Austar card due to the amount of slots.
Yes that is correct the toppy cam have 2 cams fitted and extra cam will cost you about $90 then with 2 cams and 2 cards every thing coming from C1 can be viewed.

Yes but you wont get all the channels on C1 with just a white card or just a gold/silver aurora if you can I want one of those cards too!
