Default Gold Card to Silver Card

I`ve been trying for a couple of hours in total and still cant seem to get a silver to work. I want to get the details from the goldie and make a working silver. I have all the detail from the goldie that I need.
I have a tut from someone on here on how to do the procedure, but I cant seem to get the silver to work.

Any idaes or help will be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks in advance.

    Cheers

how i did it ages ago.....

program silver with required Ghost Pic & EEprom code using your program of choice.

    read goldie with lmedit

    place silver in reader/writer

tick box for G/S/E in lmedit

    program silver with goldie details

    works!!! for me anyway

I`m having a problem with lmedit. I can read the card but cant program it.
I`ve tried several versions of lmedit and all do the same. They read the card fine but I cant edit the details.
If I read the goldie with lmedit then try to program the silver it doesn`t happen.

    Any ideas???

Also I think this pc might have something to do with it. I`ll fire up my laptop later today and try it with that.

I have just tryied my laptop which is extremly slow and has win98 on it.
With lmedit I can read the silver card but still cant seem to write to it.

Any ideas? or a different program I can use.
I have these programmers- Elvis,Jaycar and a Doall.

Which programmer should I use? and what is the best way to completly bank the card so I can start from scratch?

    Cheers.

Id say its a serial port problem, definately with the XP machine, possibly with the laptop. Some laptops do behave weird with lmedit, even with only 98

Drag the jaycar out and write all FF's to the card and see what happens, if that works then retry the details. Hopefully you are in pheonix mode!

Yep , and also if reading from a gold card , make sure you change the box at the bottom to silver before attempting to write to a silver with MultiEdit ( all from memory , its been a very long time since I used it )

Yes and make sure your jaycar is in eeprom mode (i.e. button pushed in).
