Default folder locking on USB stick

    Hi all,

I've got a toshiba USB stick and i want to be able to lock the whole USB stick incase it gets lost. on top of that, once you enter a password to get to the whole contents of the USB stick, id like to be able to lock certain folders.

Does anybody know of any good software which can do that.

    Thanks

    Thanks for you replies all.

Well i wont be using Gili file lock because you have to pay for it. Folderlock may be an option because it can lock individual folders or the whole drive. From what i've been reading, it isn't that difficult to use.

The truecrypt also seems good. Question about it. Can it encrypt the whole drive and also individual folders. I need it to do this because if the USB is unecrypted while plugged into my work PC, there are still some folders which i dont want accessed.

    Thanks

what i have done is used a 2 gig usb stick and encrypted the entire drive , then i created another encrypted canister with in that and then again with that canister.

so what i have is the drive with 3 encrypted sections so when plugged in i mount which ever one i want at the time by entering the correct password for the one i want opened. This way i put what i want in which ever section and when mounted the only things visible is what is in that canister

lol. Whats so funny whiteOx? thanks for the link. you're a legend. I'll give it a go and let you know how it goes.

Times are tough you know. I sometimes have to sing for my supper. lol.

@ diavalo. That sounds like the CIA wont be able to get in and see your files. I'll give WhiteOx link a go first and see how it goes.

    Thank you all.

thanks WhiteOx for Gili but unfortunately, it wont do what i need it to.

I need to lock particular folders with different passwords. Gili wont allow me to do this.

I'll give truecrypt a go and see how it goes.

    Thanks
