ps3 not listed in HDMI device list on Bravia

Hi , got PS3 (Not Slim Edition) with Sony Bravia KDL W Series (Full HD, Couple HDMI inputs) everything works fine.

Problem is PS3 is not listed on HDMI Device List on TV? I have tried couple HDMI Cables same. does anyone has this problem solved < i have seen couple forums on this issue and even videos on Youtube

Might be a silly question but have you set the output on the PS3 to HDMI?

Reset the PS3.Plug in the HDMI & hold your finger on the start button for 20 seconds(probably shorter)
It's in the manual.
Should then pick up as HDMI.

Doesn't help i tried this, Remove HDMI Cable Reset PS3 Connect Cable and Hold "START" for 20/25 Sec
Still PS3 not listed in HDMI Device List!

Have you tried anything other than the PS3 in the slot via HDMI?

Could be the TV?

I've stayed away from Sony TV's for sometime but family that still buy them have no issues.

yes, i tried with different device and different HDMi cable no change!

I thinks its TV? (Sony BRAVIA KDL46W series)

I have 2 cable on each of them , other devices like Home theater is recognised as HDMI device, but not PS3!

Pretty sure the bravia sync thing only works on the PS3 Slims not Phat

Works each and every time here.
Although the PS3's will do some funny things... mines just looses its hardwired network connection for no reason
