I changed the windows update service startup mode from Automatic delayed to Manual. Will see tomorrow if that helps.
I have win 7 auto update turned off completely, but my PC still wakes up after 4:00 am and around 6:15am for update. I really want to stop the waking up process.
I know it is msupdate as I cought this morning running powercfg -LASTWAKE comand.
I checked the task scheduller and couldn't find any task listed for the action. Can anyone help with this small annoying problem as it is htpc in my bedroom and I need to get some sleep in the morning.

Go into bios and disable wake on LAN
Thanks joezep, my motherboard BIOS doesn't have the wake on LAN option and I disabled the WOL in the windows LAN card properties. I actually don't use LAN card at all, I have USB wifi dongle in use.
Also, running powercfg -LASTWAKE comand reveals only windows update event as being responsible for the wake.
check to make sure it's not java update(jusched) or adobe or some other crap checking for updates......
I finally got it! The problem was with my bad eyes, it wasn't msupdate after all. PC kept waking up on MCE update (mcupdate service) wich was set to wake up PC to run in the task scheduler.
P.S. Disabling windows autoupdate doesn't disable MCE automatic update ...
