Autoroll and softcam.key
Ok I have got off this site before an autoroll.key with the aurora keys in it.. I ftp it to the /var/keys folder
I'm using gem4.2 and I have cccam2.0.4 installed.. In the cccam.cfg file I uncommented
# what Softcam.Key should CCcam try to read
# defaults to /var/keys/SoftCam.Key

SOFTKEY FILE : /var/keys/SoftCam.Key
# what AutoRoll.Key should CCcam try to read

keys aren't dead.. using in a gold. What is the format for both files?
use Cccam 2.0.0 or older version , for some reason any newer version than 2.0.0 doesnt work.

Version 2.0.0 does work as stated most others above dont. a small trick with the /var/keys files is to chmod them 75 2 then they can be written to and updated, sometimes thats all people need to get their pics. also keylist file too.

Cccam 2.0.0.4 works fine with Aurora for me.
It is simply something in the Cccam.cfg file.
Personally I deleted everything in the cfg file to just have the single newcamd server entry line.
So that proves it's a setting.
Agreed it works 100% in CCcam 2.0.4 with PLi Iolite over here in kiwiland at the moment.
cccam 2.x (.0.0 and .0.4) is definitely NOT working with gemini 4.2 for optus. So it must be a gemini thing if you've got it going with PLI. I have a real optus card and it says card init failed when it's in the card slot. when I use the AutoRoll.key with my own details seems to do nothing.
I've loaded both 1.7.1 and 2.0.4. 2.0.4 on dm500. 2.0.4 works fine with NDS but doesn't display anything with aurora. stop 2.0.4 running, then start 1.7.1 both NDS and aurora display fine.
you can't use blue panel auto download for 1.7.1 anymore you need to copy the file 1.7.1 bz file into /tmp and the use manual install.

I think there are too many variables. I just tried 2.0.3 and 4 and no go, but 2.0.0 works fine. This box I'm playing with had Gemini 3.1 so quite old. Maybe if I try with a later version like 4.x I'll get different results.

if your plain keys are up 2 date cccam 2.04 works fine but you will have to go back 2 V2.0 to auto update aurora irdeto 1 Pk's
I also said I tried with the autoroll file as well... (same details).
1.7.1 does update the plain keys then you can use 2.0.4 .. however I can't see any real benefit to 2.0.4 over 1.7.1 for just watching TV so I will just stay with 1.7.1
