Whats the difference between CCcam and NewCS?

Subject pretty much says it all. From what I can see they both do a similar thing but that doesn't seem right to me.

I'm trying to setup 2 dm500s on a LAN and need to know which one (CCcam or NewCS) I need to configure. Is someone can answer the above then I would appreciated any pointers on setting up the link between the 2.

Newcs is a server only whereas CCcam can be used as both the client and the server. So if you used newcs as the server you would have to use CCcam, evocamd or mgcamd etc as the client, but if you went with CCcam you could use that as the client and the server on one box and then as the client only on the other.

Newcs is by far more popular.

Gbox seems much more popular than newcs in Europe.
