Hi
dear first of all tell me that which device or box your are using? are you using JAF?
or any other flashing box? or you are upgrading your firmwire from usb?
I'm waiting for your reply
Thanks

Ok. Here we go. There are many and varied words that you all could use to describe me and I would agree.
During the ugrade of WM5 to WM6 on my ASUS A636N something happened. Not sure exactly what but I can no longer do anything. It gets to the first blue screen and just sits there. Obviously the flashing of the ROM has failed.
PLEASE..... Is there anyway of recovering from this??? Can you boot from the SD slot???? is there any other way of re flashing the ROM.
Any HELP appreciated, any highlights to my ability to really stuff things up not appreciated.

Shit happens, mate.
I assume you tried the hard reset, if not try it you might be lucky.
Then if you are not that lucky try the following: (copied from xda forum.)
- put an OS image on a SD card, name it A639_K*.DIO where * can be anything, for example A639_K733.DIO. this must contain the MSFLSH partition including XIP and IMGFS (i'll explain more below)
- insert the SD card
- reset the asus 639 while holding POWER + ENTER until it enters bootloader mode.
or, alternatively, just power it off, press and hold ENTER and press POWER 2x quickly and keep holding POWER + ENTER until bootloader starts in bootloader mode. this works even if in the cradle.
- that's the same as for entering usb download mode because the bootloader handles those together.
- anyway it should just flash the DIO image now, takes about 1-2 mins
I have tried all that stuff from that site. I have managed to flash it with a russian version but now can't upgrade it to english.
There must be someone out there with and english .nb0 file.
id have a look at the xda forum there is nothing those guys dont know.
I know it has been a very long time since I had this problem but I thought I would update it. I ended up taking the PDA to the local ASUS repairer and they reflashed it with the lastest WM6.?. Works great. AND hows this for a bonus..... they did it for free, nothing, zip, zilch.
I have heard a lot of bad things about ASUS authorised repairers but the guys here in Port Melbourne are great. Thanks.
