Solved. Just updated to oscam-0.99.4svn1306 & recording on one channel while watching another is OK now. ALso have the 10 minute freebies back on fbo. I just need to order a movie to check if EMMs are getting through.

This cam is very fast moving.. More versions than gimmies on this forum (not that there is anything wrong with that!)


At this rate wont be long before the whitey 4.1 starts working again on the dreambox

Seems to run fine except for the occassional glitch but updates still not being processed from what I can tell.
But Im no expert so have a play.

Info on Nabilosat seems to suggest that there may be problems with oscam + CCcam EMMs. I moved to mgcamd on the server with oscam-0.99.4svn1454-ppc-tuxbox-linux, ordered & movie & still missed the EMM. Re-read Nabilosat & it looks like we may have to be on another stream. I've now switched to as the fix appears to have been applied to the monitor-improvement branch. I'll have to try it again in a few days to see if this one works.

Had a quick go last night and had oscam 1454 running with CCcam 2.0.8 on DM500s and could watch FBO previews no pixelation etc. Will have a go with oscam 1380 tonight. Did notice I had to start the server twice though like someone mentioned to get it to recognise the card. Did not check EMM's were working as didn't have time last night. Thanks for bringing it to my attention couchpotato.

Hi,
for those who don't know.
You can see "live" oscam logging wit a linux command "tail"
So go to console and put command:

tail -f /var/log/oscam.log -> change the directory if required accordingly.

Does anyone have a copy of the nds-emm-sc.patch they could provide? I am trying to get my hands on that or even a compiled x86 version of oscam with that patch applied but I can't get to the streamboard site. Been down for ages now.

I am having the same issue with a fruity card where it doesn't appear to be processing emms. It's functioning fine but an FBO order yesterday failed. I get this type of thing.

SWMBO finally got sick of the (occasional) glitches in oscam, & so I cobbled together a couple of quick expect scripts to run with CCcam normally, but when I want fbo (so I can watch the first 10 minutes), I can quickly & easily switch to oscam. Admittedly it's a kluge, but will at least suffice until we get a more functional version of oscam. I will now wait until someone else confirms a version of oscam with working EMMs. Here are the files -

What "glitches" are you talking about jgm - I'm getting like one an hr or so but nothing besides that... And with FBO order I just killall oscam and restart ccam - order FBO - then restart oscam.

I suppose if you wanted to make it easier then you could make a PPANEL so to access it from the remote (killall and start oscam)

Yeah, it's the 1/hr that SWMBO is getting upset about. I did the expect script as the main box (Relook 400S) is in the lounge room, but the server (DM600S) is in a bedroom. Also, there are another couple of boxes around the house. I need to control all 4 at the same time, so that all boxes change together. If it was just one box, the PPANEL would be OK, or I could just do it from a telnet window on the laptop. In fact before I wrote the expect script, I used to have 4 telnet windows open at the same time, & do it all manually. With the expect script, I just click on one item, & have pics on all boxes within about 20 seconds. Keeps everyone happy

Have you tried it yet? Does it fix EMMs, and do you still get the occasional glitch?

The development is moving so fast, that a 2 day old version is out of date almost before you get to try it.
