Opentel - Gamma Compatible with Updates ?

Hi there

I have an Opentel 4000IR Satellite STB that I am planning to off load to a mate however we are keen to check first if the following is available from this STB:
1. Gamma/Whitey compatibility
2. Capability to do the Gamma/Whitey card updates.

I have had a whitey in this box in the past and it work fine for the testing over a couple of days. Unfortunately I have not had this box in place for over a month or more to know if the card updating was a problem or not.

I do not have a card logger so I can not check it that way.

Was also wondering if I managed to get a Gamma/Whitey card that had lost its updates and stick it into the box and then wait for it to do it's stuff ...... that would definitely prove that the card update stuff is happening.

Have been reading other threads with similiar queries and it seems that this decoder is definitely "whitey friendly".

Is anyone able to add any further comment or feedback....please?

Yes , they work. They are a licenced Irdeto receiver.
