Default Solution 862 - battery change

I was wondering if someone could advise the code I need to enter into my Solution 862 security system keypad so that I can by-pass the tamper alarm and change the battery? I have done this once before but forgot to write down what I did! Cheers.

    Cool

Just open it up then silence the sirens with your user code.

And as a courtesy to the next guy and/or yourself, put some white electrical tape or a sticker on the new battery saying "Installed in Jan 2010".

I have the same battery replacement question.
Is this procedure correct (& retains the stored programming):

. leave power connected to control unit & battery box.
. remove screws & coverplate from control unit unit box
. this causes a tamper alarm? Shutoff this off by entering user code at the code pad to deactivate alarm.
. disconnect battery & replace with new.
    . refit cover plate.

    Thanks for any advice.

One last thing - if the FAULT light is lit up on the keypad (or the "exclaimation mark" symbol inside the triangle, if you have an LCD keypad), you need to clear it after changing the battery by arming then disarming the alarm system. If the FAULT doesn't clear after doing this, ask here for more advice.

Battery World will be the most expensive place. Shop around, maybe your local security dealer may help you out.
