AZBox and streaming

not really satellite but,

want to stream with an AZbox in a network with a domain and not having much luck, can anyone assist in pointing in the right direction for configuration.

I can see my domain and the computers within, when I access it request user and password but keeps giving permission denied.

Thoughts anyone

if you mean stream movies from say a server etc on the local network then you must make sure that you have set the folder with the files as shared on that computer.

Once you have set the folder as shared its just a matter of navigating the az to the folder,i have my server setup and it shares all my movies music etc and every format of file from avi to mkv

I have the folder shared, I was previously using old xbox, I can navigate to pc but permission denied on user and password

i was reading on some European forums that only vista and W7 are asking for user and passw. and if you want streaming to work you have to set a password on those PCs

mine connects no hassles to my windows 7 machines though i have mine all set as admin login and no pass so that may be the issue for others suffering that user pass problem.

I have a folder shared on a Win 7 machine and can access that no problems at all,

However with the xp pc I can not access, it gives user and password then returns to previous screen...

The folder on the xp pc is shared with everyone access and I can access from other pc's or server.

I am running a domain and even with the user and pass that work on the win7 pc no go on xp

?????

still trying to sort but am running low on ideas,

Can I manually edit files through the azbox to set access??

I have it working, I had to set a local user and no problems at all, would not authenticate with domain user.

I do still need to enter user and pass everytime I connect, where can I find the files to manually edit these settings.
