Left click on the users name, in the Left hand top corner (who you want to send a Pm to)

then a drop down menu will appear,

then select send a private message.

I would like to know if anything can be achieved using dm800, jaycar reader and usb-serial cable. I'm not very good with newcs yet, still trying to work it out. Does anyone have any example configs that may work in my situation?
Should I be trying this with a server set up on PC instead? My linux skills aren't awesome, but I know enough to get by.

why not to try it firs trunning in the dm reader?It is much easier for the beginers.
I suspect there is no any "special" config for newcs under dm800. There is plenty config examples on this forum, so search is your friend. Try it first and if you got problems post your config files so someone can help you.

ok, I've got pictures now using the internal reader but HD isn't working..
Any hints? Or am I doomed to spend the rest of the day on google?

EDIT: damn search function here won't search for "HD" because it's too short...
EDIT2: also have to work out how to share to my dm500 now.. I just can't find any decent NewCS info

NewCS will not work with HD. Try oscam (check oscam thread, has working config examples) or scam and maybe some others will do HD, I don't know.

I have Foxtel IQ, got it installed about a year & a half ago and it has an orange card. Is that going to work in a Dreambox DM500?

What box have you got? dm800 or 8000? thanks.

Like a quote from previous threads "The clues are all here, you just have to search and read them" can not remember who.
I can confirm that all cards, blue, IQx, IQxHD can be used on DM500.
To start you off, the only image that works without issues is PLi pli-Jade-dm500-20090627-6494.img.
The CCcam(s) that will read them all are 2.1.1 & 2.1.2, at default(s), and the rest you know.
