    Default PS2 games on a PS3

    Howdy all,
Got a new 250GB PS3 over christmas. Everything works a treat, however my much beloved V8 Supercars 3 (ie TOCA Race driver 3) doesn't work. I just get a message "This Model of the PS3 system is not compatible with Playstation 2 format software" - Bugga. I would have thought the PS3 would have backward compatibility with PS2 games.

A quick google didn't reveal any conclusive results or quick fixes. Does anyone else have answers to this problem? This is about the only PS game I really play (When I can get my son off it)

    Won't boot
only the first 60GB consoles booted.

You can rebuy some of your PS2/PS1 tittles on the PSN store though.

Just get a cheap PS2 Slim to play those games

I had a look through the PSN store. Could only find PS3 and PSP titles.

I already have a PS2 slim. I wanted to avoid having another console and another set of cables lying around. And I've ran out of AV ports on the TV.
