Thumbs up Selectv- Cancel And Keep Your Card

    For your Info:

I cancelled one of my subs with Select today and I said that I would post the card back as per their instructions on web page but the lady at the call centre said to keep it. I asked why and she said that if you were to change your mind in the future then they could reactivate it without you paying for a new card. She mentioned that the company has changed its policy with regards to people with existing accounts who are cancelling hoping that we may sign up again.

Great idea Select at least it makes reactivation a much easier option.

I have found them to be great.

Delivered card within 2 day and have never had a problem with the service or billing. Can’t say the same for my last provider

And you'll find your Selectv user account is still valid, so you can re-activate via the web.

    Fantastic, thanks for that info.

I hope the other providers take note of this.

    No contracts.
    Use your own equipment.
    $29.95 pm
And now no more $50 fee if you dont return your card when disconnecting.

I am so happy to be with them

Thinking of getting a $29.95 package through select tv
Is it as simple as signing up, paying, receiving card in mail, inserting into Humax or Strong already receiving C1?

pretty much, you will need to aim the dish at IS8 though, and scan in all selectv channels, and have the STB on one of these channels, get the card, insert it, and ring the number.

I still have my card cause I got sick of waiting on the phone.

My credit card got lost and I thought it was a good time to cancel it.

In the 6 months I had it I can't say there was anything worth watching anyway.

I pointed my dish back to C1 and watch TVSN now.

Dont think I would ever be able to cancel my selectv sub , I'm sure no one in our house knows how to switch over to FTA anymore
Anyone see FreeStyle Football the other night on Eurosport ? bloody amazing !

    Yep.
    I seen it.
Some people got just too much time on their hands.
Reminds me of those people what stack paper cups and then unstack them as fast as they can.

    Very happy with Selectv.
    Kids watch cartoon channel.
    I watch Sky Racing.
Plenty of movies and a few doco's.
Leaves Basic Optus and Foxtel for dead.
    PLUS IT IS CHEAPER!

When you get a selecttv card, part of the deal is you pay $20 or the card.
I set a friends caravan system up for them and this is what i was charged.

Has anyone seen those cards on ebay offering 2 months free subscription after you pay for the first month? How does that work, does select have a list of smartcard numbers that say "2 months free" on them, then when you get it activated you get your 2months free?

Selectv is great - the Ex has it and she is happy with it current content. One can only hope they will add more content to the $30 package if more people sign up as part of losing access to a*

Just checked my details , have been a subscriber since they first started and only just noticed that my credit card expired early last year! Payments are still being deducted as normal ? how is that possible I never received any notification that my details had expired.
Checked my statement and payments are still coming out as normal? everything that is auto paid from my credit card stopped until I updated my details last year except for select it seems.
Not that I mind and still plan to keep and support Selectv it just seems strange.

BTW I really hope they are listening to everyones requests for more channels , seems to be a lot canceling for no other reason than there not being enough of what people want.

You got me curious with that comment Joey.

Yep, threw in my unpaid card and waited 30 seconds and pics.

FFS.... I better check the credit card....

After a few minutes back in the draw she goes cause SCI-Fi is the go tonight.

I think is also for cards purchased off there web site as well, I got a card from a authorized seller in Brisbane, rang up, setup an account and asked for the 2 months free promo.

HAHAHA!!! The 2 months free is after you pay month #1. Month 2 and 3 free. This is on ALL cards!
