NRT i use this program = Mio_Moov_Unlock
cant remember what site do a google maybe
it unlocked it a treat!!
boot straight to ce desktop now and run apps from there
let me know how you go
no worries
what are you shortcutting it too ? the windows desktop ?
this thread may interest you
Copy "27#"\Storage Card\iGO8\iGO8.exe" with out the quotes into a text file (use notepad) and save it as iGO8.lnk (thats lnk and not lnk.txt and not Ink) then copy it to the folder called Desktop in the navman.
You may need to edit 27#"\Storage Card\iGO8\iGO8.exe" to where you have installed iGO and the name of the exe file.
The other option is to download miopocket and use that to run your gps programmes. Personally iGO runs better with the unlock you have used, but Tomtom runs better when using Miopocket.

igo icon but now im lost..
not sure what part of that thread refers to me..cheers
thanks nrt but it didnt work
it doesnt show on the desktop even the shortcut i created from the exe doesnt show up maybe wrong directory (desktop)
i took out all the quotes(")
the directory you gave is where my file is
im wondering about "storage card"
should it be that mine comes up as removable disk (o)

to create a shortcut for iGO:
Copy "27#"\Storage Card\iGO8\iGO8.exe" with out the quotes into a text file (use notepad) and save it as iGO8.lnk (thats lnk and not lnk.txt and not Ink) then copy it to the folder called Desktop in the navman.
You may need to edit 27#"\Storage Card\iGO8\iGO8.exe" to where you have installed iGO and the name of the exe file.
In file manager on the navman desktop the sd card should be called Storage Card
You will need to copy the file iGO8.lnk to the Desktop folder on the navman using your pc

yes it is
and the directory is right
i must be putting the shortcut file in the wrong directory
or ive created it wrong
i created a shortcut file earlier with file manager
it doesnt show up either
the only thing on my desktop is smartst
You have to create the shortcut in notepad on your pc and with the navman (with out the sd card in it) connected to your pc go into my computer and look for the removable drive that is your navman. Find the folder Desktop in the navman drive and copy iGO8.lnk into it. Disconnect the navman from your pc, turn off the navman, insert the sd card and then turn on the navman. If all went well you will have a shortcut to iGO8 on the navman desktop.
got it sorted mate!!
thanks again for you help
damn windows was hiding my file extension so the shortcut was still a txt file
thanks very much!!
ok another prob dammit!
"cannot find storage or one of its components" blah blah blah

god damn microsoft are so stupid...
this is one of the biggest problems with newbies, things are actually easy to do but microsoft makes it hard for people by hiding file extentions by default !!!
absolute pain in the ass windows hiding shit anyways that part is sorted
