Default Is it a timely warning?

Today I did my weekly live update and manual scan with Endpoint.
It returned and quarantined 60 instances of Trojan Horses.
The disturbing thing is that the first 20 instances were in Endpoints own files and folders including the downloaded live update file and system restore and the rest were all the files in the folder where I keep downloaded apps for writing, reading, making etc goldies, silvers and gam stuff etc.

My first instinct is to treat them all as false pos and restore them.

    What do you think?

I am more confused than ever by this now, I restored the files, removed Endpoint and ran AVG Full ver and it also declared all those files to be trojans, files I might add that any of you who are satellite hobbyists will have on your systems and that have survived many many many previous scans over a couple of years.

Symantec are running a deal whereby you get a full version of Endpoint that will stop working on 31st of March.

I installed the copy that I downloaded overnight, It's a big bugger and slow to install.

It reboots the computer after installation, as most installs of this type do.

It then took 11 minutes for the computer to boot up and the connection to the internet was lost and couldn't be re established.

Everything seemed to be running at half speed I decided to uninstall the whole thing, which took nearly as long as the install.

Now back to normal on boot speed and internet connectivity.

    I'll stick with Avast free.

SEP installs an item called Teefer2 in the network properties. It is supposed to monitor the network but usually has the effect of killing the network. Once removed connectivity is restored.

For info of anyone else who gives it a try.
