3 skypephone forgetting sms service centre number

HI All, I have a 3 skypephone forgetting sms service centre number when it gets turned of. Have called 3 service centre and they tell me it needs software upgrade. Not sure if this is right as it has been good until 3 weeks ago. Any ideas would be helpful please.

I would try that first, software upgrades can fix so many little problems like that!
If it doesn't you'll need to look further into it.

Any idea if I could download software and try this myself. The phone probably not worth the cost of repairing. I think they quote $39 for quotation only.
