Smile Windows 7 upgrade 32 bit or 64 bit

    Hi
Currently running vista home premium 32 bit.
Upgrading to Windows 7 - are their any advantages in running Windows 7 64 bit over 32 bit.
Use as media centre with 2 x box 360's for gaming and media extenders.

    Thanks

If your current hardware support the 64 bit apps, try it first in a Virtual machine and see how you would go.(VM version 6.5 can run 64 bit OS on a 32 bit host)
The only thing I couldn’t get going with windows 7(32 and 64 bit) is my
Media Gate35, don’t now about Xbox though.

that will tell you the advantages of 64 over 32, as for streaming to xbox 360 i have 2 aswell and work well with 64 and 32 bit. i have win7 32 and win7 64 both hooked up to both xbox's and no difference.
Stop being so stupid.. it’s my turn!!

    Hi
well dear it's depend upon your processor technology. if you have IV5 DDR3 Technology mainboard then you should install operating system with the compatibility of 64bit. if you have centrino then your can install 32bit edition.

    Thanks
    Regards
