    Default 22" LCD monitor recommendations

My 8 Year old 17"LG flatron 795ft plus CRT monitor is playing up on me and don't know how long it's going to last.

I am looking at getting a 22" LCD monitor, what do you guys recommend for about $400. Picture quality is essential.

    regards

I dunno what panel it uses, but reckon there's a thread at whirlpoo about these monitors which might let you know. I can't get this unit apart easily using my teeth.

Only going by what I've read on other sites. Apparently they are one of the only manufacturers of LCD Panels, if it's not correct I'm sorry.

At the time of posting this - you have 5 hours and 30 minutes left on the CHIMEI at ZAZZ. These monitors become available every few months at ZAZZ, but for 24 hours only.

The "real estate" available on a 22 inch monitor is a hoot, watching widescreen HDTV is good with a PCI tooner.

CHIMEI made the leap from conventional industry to high-tech when it began producing TFT-LCDs in 1998. CHIMEI Optoelectronics was the group's first listed company, and is currently one of the world's three biggest LCD manufacturers. CHIMEI established the "CHIMEI" name in 2006 as a unified brand for all the LCD monitor products made by the group, giving the group a gateway to the consumer electronics market.

I have had Chimei monitors for a while now with no problems.
I've sold a fair few & never had one bounce back.
    I'm currently useing a 22" Chimei

The 3 year warranty and dead pixel policy win me every time.

I have personally sold over a THOUSAND Samsung 740 and 940 in the last 3 years and have heard of failures in less than a handful of ocassions.

Usually it is transport damage by couriers.

My head is spinning so hard that i still haven't made up my mind. Seen the the Chimei in the flesh and it's not to bad.

With the samsung 226BW saw it but was not impressed, what I couldn't understand is that you could only tilt it or swivel it no height adjustment. On their web site it stated you could are there variants of this model?

Now has any one used any of these dell's "Dell 2208WFP UltraSharpTM 22" WideScreen Flat Panel Monitor" or "Dell SP2208WFP Consumer 22" Widescreen Flat Panel Monitor". What is the difference between UltraSharpTM and TrueLifeTM

thanks for the help to all
