Default Commodore 65 Console On E-Bay

Not sure if anybody seen this, but it would have been good to get one of these when they were released.....

    That's A$9,379.76

    SPECS

    The C65 (aka C64DX)

was designed as successor of the famous 64. Unfortunately it suffered from important issues like compatibility and marketing. Only a small number of samples (200 - 300) ever were built.

Today, not more than 50-60 units may have survived. Due their rarity and increasing value they are in permanent possession by collectors. This can be the chance of your life time to get your hands on one.

This unit comes in very good shape and seems to be fully operative. Known(only) issues: The trap door on the bottom is "missing" and the "Return"-key does not work (You can type "CTRL-M" instead or maybe its easily to fix) - otherwise the C65 is in near pristine condition and seems never to be used.

    Default

pity they didnt make it mainstream -

the disk drive would have been its best asset if the loading speeds improved
    Drives internal 3,5" 1MB

looks very similar to the AMSTRAD units of the day (cant remember model) which had a disk drive built in

never seen one of these advertised - thanks for the heads up troyboy

    Unhappy

I'am still kicking myself when they were selling them for $160US just after Commodore went belly up(R.I.P). But those are the breaks.

The Amstrad your thinking of is 6128 & 664 with he 3" Disk Drive same as Spectrum +3 after Amstrad brought Sinclair. Another computer was SAM Coupe but it had 3.5"(Spectrum Compatible) drive they are also hard to find.
