there was a thread that had details to add to the network stream
BUT i cant find it now & it wouldn't "save" the chages for the next time you opened VLC, so you had to add details over n over..

I get audio no worries , but no video feed unless i edit network details.

I'm hoping Jonc sees this & gives us the magical details to "fix" our problems with Mr Gates's new product..

When I "click" on vpid the browser tries to go to another page & then times out.

url = my IP address then /video.m3u
    so 192.168.1.1/video.m3u

    Web-x-tv works no worries

Zap stream works after settings are added BUT it doesnt save them

I also prefer not to be changing the DM channel from my PC when surfing etc.

OK , have now sorted out part of the problem

there has been a problem with file type extention allocation..

Now when i click vpid it starts to open the file download box for VLC
standard box with "open, save & cancel"

click open & its goes to save file to temp dir & then closes & nothing else happens..

    Getting there VERY slowly..

Try running the VLC Player in XP Compatability mode?

I have no problems opening my dreambox stream from my Win7 Computer.

it works with windows 7 just fine, and I will put some comments on the wiki to this effect about this week as I also run win7 home premium (64bit version) here and it works just fine, so it must be down to your local set up..

Oops, thought the op was requesting movieplayer plugin & vlc on windows 7.

Running windows 7 ultimate x64 and still favour using vlc '0.8.6i' for webx tv & movieplayer dm500 plugin.
