Hey guys
i got a hard drive that looses its drive letter if i restart. So i have reassign at start up. any ideas on how to fix it?
cheers
Look Here -> |
It is a internal drive.
I want it assigned as H. There is no conflicting assignments.
i just had a look in hklm\system\mounteddevices and there is no entry for the drive. How can i get the unique id to make a entry?
change it to x, see wat happens

I think it has something to do with the partition on the drive. Windows allocated physical drives a letter using its unqiue id number in hklm\system\mounteddevices. The drive i am using isnt in the list so i think windows cant read its id number or somthing. ill try a reformat.
