    Default Carputer or stand alone?

I'm looking at installing a carpc as I can get the parts to make it OEM. But any ideas if it's worth it? I will just be using it for GPS and mp3 really, I'm still not sure if I will hook it up to the kids monitors for their movies(they already have they're own dvd/divx headrest monitors). Or should I just get over it and just get a stand alone gps?

Anyone use Centrafuse or similar for frontend GPS/multimedia?

    All comments are welcome.

Hello there , i set up a p4 laptop as the primary unit to be mounted in the boot with a 7 inch touch screen to go in the dash. An inverter to power the whole setup ,wireless antenna ,gps antenna and all cables to run from dash to boot. It all works great however as i said i never had the time to install it.

Acejas, I'm thinking of setting up a carputer as well, when I look at mp3car.com everything seems to be for overseas applications. Have you set your gps up successfully? Would you mind if I picked your brain so I can decide if I want to go through with this?
