Just went to check if there were any new speed and red light camera POI files available to download and found that the two sites that I usually get them from are now charging for the privilege. Does anybody have a site where you can still get free POI files from ?
Cheers

Thanks Mate...
The 1st Link hasn't been updated for 14 months.
The 2nd Link is OZIPOI. They are now charging.
Anybody else know any ?
I just downloaded the cameras from OZPOI with no charge.

Thanks...but thats the FREE camera file and not the SPEED CAMERA or RED LIGHT CAMERA.
What is the difference between the 2 ??

What exactly is in the Tomtom.rar file? posted above.
There are lots of files.
Are all needed and where do you paste them?
Troy I have just purchased an XL and found those files not there. I was a little P.....sd off. A call to TomTom got nowhere as he just talked about safety cameras. My sister purchased one last year and had the files sent to here in Nov. She sent them to me and they work ok. If somehow I could get them to you I would be glad to send them

Just had a look at ozpoi.com damn its changed for the worse...gone all commercialised...which wouldn't be so bad on its own, nothing wrong with charging a small fee for their products, but they've planted Google Adsense and banner ads everywhere, again not too bad in moderation, but there's advertising everywhere...
I have just updated to tom tom 6.75 on my N93, does anyone know if there is anything available to show speed limits, i have seen a couple of gps's have it but cant find it in tomtom.
The Speed Cameras have been recently updated and the Redlight Camera are a couple of months old. However I do have update files to process (which I will do over the week-end) and this should bring everything up todate as much as possible.
The site does allow users to log in and help contribute by adding a POI that they see might be missing.
Thanks Pict
Does anyone know where I could get the GPS locations for Brisbane speed cameras. I have edited my POI file and added the One at Burpengary as I knew where it is located and got the co-ordinates from Google Earth. There supposed to be about 6 more in Brisbane and even if I can get the exact location That would do. It is simple to do with POIedit.
Thanks Pict.
I have now the file. There must be 8 in SEQ as there is one at Burpengary.
-27.1664 lat and 152.9798 lon Located on Left heading North (Right next to the transport weighbridge)
The file on my oneXL list them $$$ c_5... then the cordinates with over 600 entries. I have downloaded another file and it lists them as description of location etc. Not sure if I should overwrite my existing file. Will add these extras manually.
I was prepared to pay the $5.50 for the separated red light and speed offered in OZIPoi but sent them an email asking if the Qld speed cameras were included but reply said they weren't. Bit strange as they say they are regularly updated.
Still would like to separate though but not sure about if I would need other files as well as .bmp file or buy them and add extras myself.
Thanks Raldaw.
