    Default Logitech's Master Security Cameras

what do you guys think of these?

All you need to do is hook up one master and up to six slaves. They all need power cables.

It sends the picture down the power line and a USB out to a PC.

The internet is full of pics and opinions but I wonder what the professionals think.

They have an indoor and outdoor type.

Actually, it wasn't a worthless comment, it was the truth.. What more did you want to hear???

The lux level of those cameras are a minimum of 2. So good luck seeing anything at night as that's about 80% of the time shit happens. So I go back to my first reply...

You get what you pay for.

I agree, they spend hundreds on cheap webcams placed in external housings replacing the gear on multiple occasions.... Not realising that after they have trialed and replaced the junk many times over, they could have paid for a proper system that suits their needs up front.

i like how people in the security forum are so combative.

Maybe I don't have a requirement to see anything at night?

Perhaps instead of saying why this system is no good, perhaps recommend a system that works?

Ok this system is no good - maybe you wanna upsell something that works instead of leaving someone at a dead end.

You asked a question and were given an answer. If you don't like the answer then don't ask the bloody question in the first place.
Combative my arse. Maybe its that the professionals get sick of dealing with self proclaimed "experts" who have zero experience and no understanding in a subject that we do for a living.

Perhaps instead of being a smart arse trying to provoke a fight, you should of written what you really wanted answers to. People are not mind readers and if you can't ask a simple and accurate question then simply don't ask anything.

And just so you know, i'm not on here to sell or upsell to anybody and if you are at a dead end then it was proberbly of your own doing that put you there in the first place, not us.

I was no way combative in my response to you Tony, you asked for an opinion and I gave it. As for elaborating, I didn't see the need to as your question was open to the point one wouldn't know where to start.

Forgive me for not consulting my crystal ball before responding to you.

Again, forgive me for failing Clairvoyance 101, I lost my crystal ball so they never passed me.

I can't upsell if I don't know your requirements. How bout explaining your situation and needs first and I'm sure those with a wealth of knowledge will assist you further.

You asked for a professional opinion.
You buy a domestic product, you get domestic quality, which is in most applications not going to give video worth having.

Do you ever wonder why the security video of robberies on TV is often so poor?
Its all about the price and having someone who understands CCTV to install it.
