Also depends on where you purchased the 'legit' key, as some 'legit' keys being sold by unauthorised sellers have ceased working.
Hey guys,
I obtained a copy of windows 7 off the internet to try it.
I installed it and it says in the corner of the screen that this copy is not legit.
Every time I start up my pc, it comes up to change the product key.
(Its windows 7 Ultimate Build 7022)
So I like windows 7 and I bought a legit key.
Now, i typed it in and it sayed it is not compatible with this version of windows 7 or something along the lines of that.
Now, I am assuming it is becasue its a build 7022 of windows 7.
WHere can I get the final version of windwos 7 from?
I obviously dont need to buy the dvd because I already have the key.
Any help, or would anyone lend me there copy for the day? I live in brisbane

Did you buy an Ultimate key?(Its windows 7 Ultimate Build 7022)
Did you buy a key for a full install or an upgrade key? Now, i typed it in and it sayed it is not compatible with this version of windows 7 or something along the lines of that.
Basicly you need the correct key for the correct dvd .....
ie;
Retail Iso needs a retail key
Enterprise Iso needs an enterprise key
Upgrade Iso needs an upgrade key
The key must match the media you are installing from.
Make an account on Microsoft and download the proper image, maybe the problem is cause you downloaded a modified version that requires a crack
