Missing dll file

I have recently lost Msvcr71 dll file. When I try to open a movie the missing dll box message box is up. I Googled & found many sites that say I can help, then my paranoia kicks in. What site or direction can you guys suggest.

In my computer Xp sp3, that dll is replicated in corel paintshop pro, nero, office 2007 in many different locations...8 in total.
You may already have that dll and just have to find the correct place to copy it into.

I always find what I want and have never had a problem with any of their downloads

Thanks mandc I couldn't find the dll in my system & Seymour Butts that site doesn't have the dll I'm looking for.

This site has it download and paste in C:\WINDOWS\system32

Don't know how reliable the files are from that site though.

The site in post #5 is reliable though...direct from my computer [a recently installed XP sp3]

Down loaded from MEGAUPLOAD & tried to paste in C:\WINDOWS\system32 & it came up file already exists, scratch,scratch.It only seem to affect windows video player.
