Try putting the copied card in the decoder and leave it on over night. No harm in trying that. You`ll be asleep anyway.

having problems with my card now, stopped working but only after I had used in another phoenix reader (not a jaycar) which blew a IC chip. After the incident I stuck card back in decoder with official irdeto cam and failed to recognise card. I plugged the Jaycar back in with card and tried to read again with LMEdit, getting an error "Data Interruped - check card and connections!"

FMCard gets an ATR from the card but nothing else then spits out an error saying "unable to read card" I know my Jaycar reader is not to blame as I can read a skycard no problems at all using newcs.exe after changing jumper back to 3.57mhz from 6mhz.

Im now assuming the incident with the other phoenix reader has damaged my card? Lucky I have saved all the details previously using LMEdit so just need a card that works so I can load my details back on again.

What processes are involved programming a new card from scratch and where would I obtain one from?

    Would this card work?

You may be able to reprogram the card you have,

(or, there is a possibility the chip is damaged too),

I have had the same problem & just reprogrammed the card, & everything was OK,

did you save the .lme file of the cards details with LMEdit, if you did, just load the file & click write in LMEdit, & try it

if this does not work you should start from scratch & program the PIC & Eeprom with ghost files, then write the details to the card,

the new card you have shown should be OK too,

    good Luck

Yes saved the .lme file fortunately, I tried clicking write in LMEdit using the same settings I used to read the card originally, and I got the error message I refer to in previous post asking me to check card and connection. I guess the next step is to try with the ghost files, any specific ghost files I should use? ive seen a few floating around. Im assuming i'll need the push button out on the Jaycar to program the ghost files? If that fails I guess my only option is to get another card.

    Thanks for the help

Yes, I think you can assume the card you have is a Silver card,

then program the Pic & the Eeprom with the Ghost files following Farmsky's tutorial (posted above)

here are the Ghost Silver Files

i think either my card is faulty or im doing something wrong, I keep getting the error "Verify failed at address 000h" when trying to program 16f877v3_bootloader.hex, the card comes back with FF in the data area and 3FFF in the program code area.

Could be the card, (may be worth getting a new one)

but more likely the setting up & settings of ICProg, or the white switch in the wrong position, also make sure oscillator is in XT & all the fuses are unchecked (follow the instructions carefully)

I also use ICProg 1.05A or D now,

also have a look at this thread,

somethings still not right, have been through that thread and re read it several times, some mention 6mhz to program the bootloader while others mention 3.57mhz, have tried both, have tried unticking the fuses, tried changing to XT but just keep defaulting back to RC after program restart, have tried different program versions. But im still gettin the dreaded "Verify failed at address 000h" error, all the data remains at 3FFF and FF, im using xp media centre SP2 would this have any effect? I guess the only thing left to try is another card just to rule out the posibility of my card having been damaged.

somehow i dont think my card is a silver or gold card, LMEdit couldnt read it as a gold card, and the silver card on this site shows a picture of the chip with an "a" symbol, my card chip doesnt have that "a" symbol, however I could be wrong.

Only reason I ask, I was using an Asus P5KPLVN m/b and once I had the settings within icprog right off I went, however, i did change over to an Gigabyte m/b and for the life of me haven't been able to get Icprog to burn a card since this time.....may I suggest, albeit a long shot, you could try updating the software on your m/b, however, generally I would say its the settings within icprog.
