Default Satellite TV options for laptop?

    Hi,

I just got a new laptop, it doesn't have a PCMCIA slot, but it does has ExpressCard 54mm.
I was hoping to be able to view satellite tv with it (FTA only I assume) and was wondering what people could suggest would be the best way to do that?

I haven't found a dvb-s ExpressCard yet but I guess that would be the most ideal solution.

    Thanks

I have ben using - without any problems a USB device ...

    SkyStar 2 USB plus

I don't know if they are avialable in 'OZ ?? (UK cost is about GBP60 retail)

With this device the BEST software I found is DVBveiwer - it supports plug-ins - so you can have all sorts of cams and Emus

It uses a BDA driver - so it will work well with any windows PCan a host of other sat software ...

The device is about the size of a packet of Cigs and has excellent performance with its sensitive turer.

Just google all of the above and you will be able to get the full picture ...

    Hope this info is helpful

    Cheers
