845 maps for Australia and NZ

PLEASE HELP.

Have no idea what i am doing incorrect.

Copy the maps and files including the meta.txt into the australia folder.

Run the KeyGen get the error with the Trucks.

Run patch system and get error "Navcore ttsystem problem, you need a genuine non-patched file"

Restart device and get "'Australia-136' maps weren't suitable for the device."

Please help would love to get it going, i know it is something i am doing just can't work it out.

The meta file for the map needs to be pasted into the meta.txt of the keygen (if it's not already there.)

Are you running Tomtom from an sd card (this is a good idea)?
Have you made a backup of your tomtom to your hard drive before doing anything?
If you can't patch system try ydg (check your pm)

btw how do I know what Navcore verison I am using? I saw another thread that I can download a new Navcore vierson9, will this help solving the problem?

It sounds like you are trying to patch an already patched navcore or an SE navcore. Download a map extract it to the device either internal or SD card, create a "dct" file for it using a map keygen. Copy the "dct" file into the map folder and see if it works. If it does then TADA. If not supply more details and we can help.

Hi guys

Keygen 4.1C does not work on my PC and I dont know why. It just starts and then an empty message window pops up with no text whatsoever displayed but only OK button. You click it and it just shuts down. I downloaded Keygen 4.1D and this one does work but it does not have meta data for these maps I think. Where can I get meta data for 845 maps for Au and NZ?

I'm just about to give this all a go on a brand new tomtom 930 Go. It only came with european maps, and I want to add the Aussie ones, I am backing it up now, so hopefully it will all go OK, I'll post back here with any traps I fall into to hopefully avoid others tripping on the same things, I'm a total noob at this

Hmm.. followed all of the steps on a 930 Go, but it comes up and says No maps found when I restart the 930. Will dig around more and see if I can work out what I've done.

Okay, this is what I did to get it to work. I used tom-tom home to download all of the latest updates for my Go-930.
Then used keygen 4.1D to patch my system file.
Then downloaded the Australian maps.
Then opened the meta.txt file in the Keygen 4.1D folder and pasted this in at the top of the file
; Australia_845_2662
8D 29 46 72 AF 45 8F D1 58 A7 E3 3A 2D 7C F7 BB Australia-137.meta

Then I saved the file.

I then fired up keygen 1.4D again and I then clicked on 'copy map'
I dragged my map folder onto the icon and let it do everything and just kept clicking on okay.
I closed keygen and did the 'safely remove usb' thingo in windows. Restarted the tomtom and it worked! Thanks to everyone here!

Have you used the map correction function and uploaded your report via mapshare?

Yep.. all there in the menu.. and help section.

Running tomtom from the sd card.
When I start I can get to the setup with voices etc.
Then after that it tells me " Can't find map "
I put the map in a folder called Australia did the setup with Alberts activator program.
It puts the DCT file in there. and also get Australia-40.meta

Is there a config file where I can change the path to the map?

i have to put my map folder in the root folder of my SD card for it to work.

The tomtom app is installed in the sd card, under my documents, just the map folder has to be in the root.
