    After DSI upgrade the R_four stopped working. any ideas ...

    Most R4i will not be update-able nor compatible with the newer DSi firmware.

    You'll most likely have to buy a new cart,

    Take a look at M3i Zero, Supercard DSi One or iedge

    All these are updatable and you shouldn't have any issues with future upgrades.
