    Default CCcam 2.1.4 for azbox

    Attached CCcam 2.1.4 for azbox

    Firstly /MMP path must be writable with mount -o remount,rw /dev/hda1 /MMP
after that newrootglibcbuydeforme.tar should be on main path(/) and with tar xf newrootglibcbuydeforme.tar open file
Files in lib.zip to put in /MMP/newroot-glibcv/lib path
give that to console mkdir /MMP/newroot-glibcv/libf and than Files in fornewroot.zip to move this path.
chmod 755 -R /MMP/newroot-glibcv change files permisson with this.
    cp /MMP/newroot-glibcv/lib/ld.so.1 /lib copy ld.so.1 to /lib with that.
After that add libf to LD_LIBRARY_PATH with export LD_LIBRARY_PATH=$LD_LIBRARY_PATH:/MMP/newroot-glibcv/libf
enter in cd /MMP/newroot-glibcv/bin and give this command ./fakeroot -l /lib/ld-uClibc.so.0
now on console sh-3.00# should be written
After that change the library envoirment but after you do it some programs on AZbox might not work with new library just it affect only that console apart from this console nothing will affect that...
export LD_LIBRARY_PATH=/MMP/newroot-glibcv/lib change path with that
    change LD_PRELOAD with export LD_PRELOAD=/MMP/newroot-glibcv/lib/libdvbapi.so
and than you can work cccam that is have file permission

Have you tried this? I hear with mgcamd if you use both newcamd and cccam lines the emu needs to be restarted when changing between channels that use each line.

What I have been told this is correct Leroy

All AZbox firmware and openxcas is buggy, hopefully one day they will get it right.

I got motivated earlier and installed mgcamd 1.35 and it now supports cccam connectivity as well as newcamd. It seems to work ok. Every so often wen you change back to a cccam channel you had to restart mgcamd.
Multicas has been good as a newcamd client. If I get time I'll try CCcam 2.1.4.

Firmware is not stable, all firmware released is beta

The latest beta firmware is 0.9.4487 which is bugware

The AZbox is a good media player, but as a Satellite Receiver, there are a lot better receivers on the market than the AZbox

Yes the dvbapi_module is pretty buggy. To get native cccam working good we either need a fully implemented dvbapi (need sigma support for this) or a much better dvbapi_module

But guys really, i would like to see some channel zapping improvement first from opensat

you're just quoting someone on satpimps! At the end of the day everyone has an opinion on what they reckon issues are but the only ones that know will be Opensat and Sigma.

I actually find the fw stable and don't find it that buggy at all. As a sat receiver and terrestrial pvr it's working well (this is the original reason for my purchase). The only thing I'd like improved is zapping speed but I reckon this is as a result of channels not clearing through what ever emu you are using as FTA zapping seems fine.

I haven't tried cccam 2.1.4 but I just read that you can't record if using it so no real point loading it.

You are trying to quote someone else comments which is specific to "cccam 2.1.4" which was released only few days ago...

Yeah you are right everyone has their opinion on this box.

I am going on what I find with this box, Fo*xel blue with the latest firmware and Multicas ....EPG does not work, still freezing every-now and then...slow channel zapping

Works okay with Aurora Irdeto 1 and 2, I have not tried it with Select TV as I do not have a card

I still say it is a better media player than Satellite receiver

    The firmware is not stable

    But that is my opinion
