Smile Orange Fruity Foxtel Card Setup ( Dreambox 500s )

    Hi All,

If you have successfully manage to get your dreambox 500s to read from the newest Orange Fruity Card. Then please help us out.

    Firstly:

Firmware = Gemini , PLI Jade ??? ( Which is better for the Fruity card ? )

Server App = CCCam , newCS , Oscam? (Which one will work with the Fruity)

    Client's CAM = CCCam , evocamd , oscam ? ( Which ones works ? )

Your help will be greatly appreciated.

Does CCCam work with HD channels? I know that Oscam does but would like to confirm if CCCam does.

yes, on the 800HD. But you won't even scan them in on the 500.

The image is irrelevant. It's the EMU that's important.

It's very relevant when the image kills your clone

Okay , I have reflashed the image to PLI Jade ( Dreambox 500s )

Installed CCcam 2.1.4 via the BLUE BUTTON.

Configured CCcam to run as the Server and CCcam as a client on the same box.

My Fruity is connected to the Phoenix Card reader at 6mhz.

When I start the CCcam, I'm getting this error:
Can some one help me out and see why its not decrypting.

( P.S I changed my BOXKEY to XXXXXXXX ) - Is the boxkey important to getting it to work with the FRUITY Card ?

boxkey is very important and card likes to run at 3.57mhz. I thought the cards also worked in the internal slot?

Do a search on the forum for Boxkey. You wont get far without it.

Can these cards be overclocked any higher than 3.57mhz without melting/overheating in a smargo? A mates bluey is running at 7.8mhz in a smargo stabley no problem, but as I understand the fruity's are a different beast. Could you please confirm Leroy/somebody else?

Yep - they do, but only at 3.57Mhz.

Also - not a good idea to overclock them either.

Does anyone know if I can use :

    * newCS - as the server ( With the boxkey line )
    * CCcam - as the client

Or newCS with what other clients will work with the orange fruity card ?

Or just use cccam. This is the easiest option.

Are you guys saying that I should either use one of the following setup:

    1) NewCS + CCCam as client... ( as EvoCamd no longer works with the Orange Card )
    2) CCCam Server + CCcam as Client

Bare in mind that I have the latest Orange Fruity... not the old bluey....

Read the oscam thread and it'll explain why you might need it. If you find you don't need it then cccam works just fine by itself.

could someone perhaps explain how to set up oscam with cccam for a dm500 or dm800 using the internal slot?

I think I've got it installed but I don't know how to check that I've got it installed properly. There really doesn't seem to be any good documentation or instructions for beginners.
Can Oscam be used with CCcam to view HD channels and for CS?

I have NewCS & CCcam working at the moment for normal channels from orange card, but haven't got it setup for CS and it doesn't work for HD. I have another box currently with a blue card and CCcam that has done what I've needed it to do, but I'd like to get rid of that card.

Use the latest "monitor-improvement" stream version of oscam, & you can see what it is doing via a web interface.
