Don't forget to make the internal hard drive a slave if you want to use the CF to do this.
been playing with the 7020 for a while now and after spending $10 on a 2 gig compact flash card have found that this is by far the easiest way ( takes a while ) to flash the unit

Don't forget to make the internal hard drive a slave if you want to use the CF to do this.
I tried this (making HDD slave) and it didn't work in the first place.
So i take it the CF card has to be installed and mounted at all times as Master for this to work? Or am i just retarded?

Hey, I reassemble that
So is it set to Master 666? I remember mine worked fine whilst the card was in, it was when you pulled it out the problem begins.
So by having the boot set up on it, does that kind of make it Master? or is it just you have the boot set up on it? and nothing more than that?
I ended up going down the USB path with all my boxes.... but i agree a CF is far neater
tested with the initial install with the cf and worked a treat but was only done as such out of curiosity and testing .
What i have now is the cf as the boot and have every 7020 image on it all loaded via flashwizard plus i use the cf as as extra space for the temp files etc
neater and easier the cf card set me back $20 for a 4 gig card so heaps of room for what its needed for
Sounds good.
You got a link for 4gig CF for $20?
got it of fleabay just got an 8gig one for $33 delivered so have a spare 2gig one if you want
How long does it take to flash with the cf card and dreamup and any other means?
