NDS Channel 9 and 10 Syd/Melb Programming

I have noticed that with my subscribed NDS cable card in my DM500 that I have been receive Sydney or Melbourne programming for Channel 9 or Channel 10 (i.e. I have 1 x channel for Channel 10 Sydney and 1 X channel for Channel 10 Melbourne plus the same for channel 9)

On the Std Pace STB this is not available (that I know of anyway)

Now this is a real bonus as being an ex Sydney person from many years ago I can now tune in to a bit more Rugby League or even general news.

I would assume that there might be something that also can be done so I could receive channel 9 or 10 programming from other states e.g. Brisbane Adelaide etc.

Can anyone verify if this can be done and if so how do you do this.

You should also have 9 and 10 from Brisbane.I have here 3 of each so have a look for the other missing ones

yep - agreed 3 x ch10 + 3 x ch9 - vic, nsw and qld
Friday night NRL - qld broadcasts any qld teams first while nsw shows nsw first - then they swap for second broadcast

Also I am curious, if someone suspends their subscription eg for a month (I am assuming this is possible) do the FTA channels 9 and 10 also get suspended?

No their not.

I doubt it as they aren't free to air. They are encrypted with nds just the same as your other fox channels.

So the card from a cable STB will be updated via C1 signal as well ?

Foxtel NDS Cable/Satellite cards are the same thing , ie , a NDS Cable card will work on sat.

yes I get all those channels too on my nds sat card, but not in a provider box. they are region locked so we don't get them in the west. thank you dream box

Buy a Foxtel subscription (basic + sports) and purchase a DM500 (or DM518) see buy-sell-trade, and use it instead of the provider box. This will get you ch9 Mel/Syd/Bris & the Fox sports channels as well.

Picture not quite as stable with the card in my DM7020 slot.

Had the same thing at my place
7020 would reset the card reader or cccam every twenty minutes or so
in a 600 or 7000 - almost flawless..

I can see the channels in my dm500 with my bluey cable card but it wont decrypt the interstate channels only Bris channels. Is there anyway to get the dm500 to decrypt interstate FTA channels?

I know it works on my friends satellite box.
