you talking zone doubling or jsut on the standard zones??
I have had one that did exactly that. I could seal the zone by puting a 15 in the zone programming.
12 months later another zone did the same thing so I replaced the panel..
There was a problem with a faulty batch of resistors on the zone expander module (zones 9-16) where the zone would not seal or false alarm occasionally, If your problem is with zones 9-16 on a expander module (not zone doubling)
and the panel is about 4 years old replace the expander module.
Hope this helps !!
I have had this problem a fair few times & it seems to be coming more common. There are a couple of scenarios.
A) Zone won't seal with EOL
B) Zone won't seal with EOL or through programming
C) The same as for a) but developing like a cancer to other zones.
I've had 4 panels with this problem in the the one week about a month ago. They all seemed to be about 5 yrs old so I don't know if that is a clue. Doesn't seem to be a catastrophic fault because it only cost $50 for Bosch to repair. I have a feeling it is the DIL resistor array just above the zone I/Ps ( the ceramic looking thingy ) but my questions to Bosch get me no info so I'm guessing
Yes I have had a lot of problems with the (fixed 3k3) plug on expander board and faulty zones.
So instead we started using the variable EOL plug on expander board on the 3k3 setting and haven't had any more problems in the last 12 months.
I don't use a lot of the Sol 16 now, as we mainly use the 16plus instead or the 64
I'd be asking questions of bosch if they have done the repairs for you and you have had to pay for them to be repaired. They have no right to keep you in the dark regarding faulty components replaced. I would not hand any money over for repairs without knowing what I was being charged for.
