    Default Melbourne Visit

I'm going to be in Melbourne from Sunday night until Thursday on business. What to do? Will be staying at Notting Hill, which I believe is a good 20 min NW of the CBD.

Thats around the corner from where my old man lives.

The Notting hill pub is one place but there's not too much to do around there.

Best bet is go to Chadstone for shopping. Its no too far via cab.

Otherwises if you were around for Friday night there are the Drags at Princes Hwy, they are pretty good taking into consideration the new Hoon laws.

A few years back the HDT workshop was a few meters from the Nott pub.

If you're looking for exciting evenings, Melbourne's always been far too staid, so go somewhere else. They're like the chooks, gone to bed after dark.

Sure, I remember Young and Jacksons (Chloe) with 14 oz T-bones & Baked veges for 2/6 and out at St Kilda, Lobster Smorgasbord for 7/6, but Man cannot survive on bread alone. Need a little spice, egh?
And how about this, world famous, eatery of the Movie Stars:-

Methinks you are prejudiced, try Sydney for a wild time.

Kindest Regards, " The Druid ".

    Ummm, action....... King Street.

Just dont tell the Mrs that's were your heading.

Try Mens Gallery, Gold fingers theres a whole area just near the Casino.

Keep an eye out for trouble makers though, the area is a known rough spot.

Whats the pub called top end of bourke st (1/2 way up), on the right (rumored to have been a bikie bar in the xyx's)....

want a scary experience, go in and start talking to a girl that claims to be a "professional" and have a guy by the name of snake join you. face cut up, black eyes. edit: (that is black eye balls) have him look at you and tell you, thats his women, and that he is very protective of her. been in goal, has not slept in days, and would like a smoke.

make it out of there alive, and have to walk through Fitzroy gardens(pitch black) with his image haunting you!.

ahhh, postcards are sometimes not enough!

I really enjoyed the queen victoria markets last time i was down that way,
The cas was also pretty nice.

A few decent comedy gigs / clubs around the place as well (i think the mel. comedy festival is coming up soon or is on now?)

    Stayed at Novotel St Kilda

Stroll through St Kilda wouldn't go astray as well, markets on sunday morning as well

    Have fun mate

Lets not forget the bashings and stabbings...nothing like some risk to spice up a night is there?

    Cheers
